A free library of eval bullets, forms, and award references — built because finding this stuff shouldn't be the hard part.
An independent resource for Sailors, by a veteran.
The Navy produces an enormous amount of genuinely useful paperwork and then scatters it across a dozen portals, half of which need a CAC reader and none of which have a search box worth using. If you have ever spent forty minutes hunting for a current special request chit at 2100 the night before it was due, you already understand the problem.
This site started as one veteran's fix for that. It is a single place to find the forms, the instructions, the award criteria, and the eval language — searchable, no login required to read, no CAC, no ads.
This is not an official Navy site and has no connection to the Navy or the Department of Defense. The documents here are copies of publicly available material and may not always be the current revision. Before you submit anything official, verify it against the official source. Our Disclaimer covers this properly, and it's worth two minutes of your time.
Navy Eval Writer is run by Brock Briggs, a Navy veteran who served as [your rate / years served — please fill this in]. He built the first version to solve his own problem and kept going because other Sailors kept using it.
He also hosts The Scuttlebutt Podcast, where he has interviewed more than 100 veterans about their careers, transitions, and what came next.
The library is free and stays free. The AI generator costs money to run, so it works on credits — you get some free when you sign up. There are no ads on this site and there won't be.
If a form is out of date, a link is dead, or there's a document you keep needing that isn't here, tell us — that feedback is how most of this library got built in the first place.
